The Nepali film actor Rajesh Hamal came to Sipapokhare on 21 November 2016 for the last of the handover ceremonies. Some villagers walked as long as three hours to see him.
The ceremony marked the end of the transition-home programme in the village. The banner strung behind the guests read "850 House Handover" and listed the temples, community associations, foundations and individual donors who had paid for them. The count was later revised down to 800 by a physical audit in June 2017.
उहाहरुको सेवा गर्न पाउदा सार्है खुसि लागेको छ, र अरु पनि सेवा गर्ने अवशर पाउछौ भन्ने आशा गरेका छौ।

The event was covered by Kantipur and by the online outlet Online Samaya. That coverage mattered to the organisation for a specific reason: in 2015 it had been an unknown entity asking Nepalis abroad to wire money to a village most of them had never visited, at a time when trust in post-earthquake charities was low.
The following day the organisation relaunched its website with pages listing every donor, the donation summary, its volunteers, its financial statements and its governing documents.
