The last project Mission Rebuild Nepal took on ended the way most logistics projects end: quietly, and later than anyone wanted.

The organisation announced on 27 January 2023 that all three oxygen generators funded by the America Nepal Medical Foundation had been installed in hospitals that needed them, and that a further plant donated by Creasion had gone into Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu. Six of the plants shipped from France were still awaiting installation at the time of the announcement.

The generators are pressure-swing adsorption units made by Novair in France, each rated at 15 normal cubic metres an hour, or 250 litres a minute, at 95 per cent oxygen purity. They produce oxygen on site from ambient air, which removes a hospital's dependence on cylinder deliveries over roads that close.

Mission Rebuild Nepal's role in the consortium was procurement and supply chain: sourcing the plants, holding the contracts, and dealing with the freight, the customs and the government approvals. The plants themselves were paid for by consortium members and their donors.

It took a little longer than expected, still we are happy in completing this project and serving Nepalese communities.
